Forester's has been an active insurance company for 130 years. They were established in 1874, are headquartered in Toronto, Ontario, and operate in The United States, Canada, and The United Kingdom. Forester's sells a variety of life insurance products, including term life, whole life, universal life, variable universal life, income protection, long term care, and lifestyle protection insurance products. They also sell annuities products.
Forester's has more than $4.6 billion in assets, $3.6 billion in liabilities, and a surplus of $994 million. Foresters customers are members, not shareholders. There are over 850,000 Foresters members across the U.S., Canada, and the United Kingdom.
Volunteerism is very important to Foresters. In 2005, members and staff volunteered more than 3.5 million hours in their communities. They have 336 volunteer branches across The United States, Canada, and The United Kingdom.

- You can choose from three terms for your term life insurance policy: fifteen, twenty, and thirty years.
- You can choose a guaranteed level premium plan. If you choose this plan, you will pay the same premium for the life of your policy.
- You can choose an accidental and illness protection option to compliment your term policy. This option allows you to receive cash benefits, should you become ill or disabled.
- This policy also offers extended family protection options. This option allows you to protect you and your family members with term life insurance under one contract.
- This policy also offers a living rewards rider. This option is a return of premium benefit, which means that you can receive a portion of your premiums back if you outlive your initial term.
